Sri Lanka’s Dialog Axiata secures US$ 200 million syndicated loan

Aug 10, Colombo: Sri Lanka’s largest telecommunications service provider, Dialog Axiata has raised a US$ 200 million syndicated term loan facility of a 5 year tenure. The loan facility jointly arranged by the OCBC Bank of Malaysia and the Standard Chartered Bank will be used to finance the group’s capital expenditure and working capital requirement, the firm said in a stock market disclosure. The telecom firm, a subsidiary of Malaysia -based Axiata Group Berhad, said the loan will also be used to refinance an existing debt.
